Very pleased to announce the publication of our latest paper in the Chemical Engineering Journal (CEJ):
“A safety-driven approach for the scale-up of membrane production processes”.
This paper is a cooperation between TU/e Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna and ZEFIRA and is part of the CATART Project
As Benedetta Anna De Liso and Clara Coiana have shown, scaling up an innovative material-production process requires more than achieving the desired technical performance. Safety, sustainability and product quality must be considered from the earliest stages of process development.
In this work, we used the SCALE workflow, a systematic methodology combining mechanistic analysis, experimental validation and structured interaction mapping to identify critical process parameters and understand how they affect both safety and final material properties.
