With more than 15 years of experience at the interface of industry, innovation, and clean energy, he focuses on building the business, structuring collaborations, and driving market adoption of advanced decarbonization technologies.
At ZEFIRA, he is responsible for company vision, commercial development, funding strategy, and engagement with industrial and institutional partners, ensuring that the company’s technologies address real industrial needs and scale pathways.

Co-Founder and CTO of ZEFIRA, Fausto leads the company’s technology vision and R&D strategy. With more than 25 years of experience in membrane science, reactor engineering, and process intensification, spanning academia and industry, he is internationally recognized in the field.
A Professor at TU Eindhoven, he oversees the development, validation, and scale-up of ZEFIRA’s membrane and plasma technologies, ensuring scientific rigor, performance, and industrial robustness from laboratory concepts to deployable systems.
Co-Founder and CTO of ZEFIRA, Fausto leads the company’s technology vision and R&D strategy.
With 25+ years of experience in membrane science, reactor engineering, and process intensification, spanning academia and industry, he oversees the development, validation, and scale-up of ZEFIRA’s membrane and plasma technologies.
