Today, ZEFIRA participated in the Start-up Market organised by the Japie Association at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).
The event provided a great opportunity to meet motivated students from Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, exchange ideas, and present ZEFIRA’s work on advanced membrane and plasma-based technologies for industrial decarbonisation. Throughout the day, we had many inspiring conversations about carbon capture, synthetic fuels, hydrogen pathways, and the practical challenges of scaling climate technologies from lab to industry.
Beyond sharing our current R&D activities and pilot projects, we also discussed career opportunities at ZEFIRA, including internships, thesis projects, and junior engineering roles. We believe strongly in building close links with academia and in supporting young talent as they take their first steps into applied cleantech innovation. The curiosity, technical depth, and enthusiasm we encountered reinforced how important these exchanges are for shaping the next generation of climate engineers.
“What impressed me most was the level of technical curiosity and motivation among the students,” said Fausto Gallucci, CTO of ZEFIRA and Professor at TU/e.
“The energy transition needs engineers who are not afraid of complexity — people who want to turn fundamental science into real industrial impact. Engaging directly with students like this is essential to build the teams that will deliver tomorrow’s low-carbon technologies.”
Events like this remind us that the energy transition is not only about technology — it is about people. Turning ambitious ideas into real industrial solutions requires creative thinking, hands-on experimentation, and committed teams willing to tackle complex problems.
🌍 We left the Start-up Market inspired by the students we met and energised by their interest in building a more sustainable, low-carbon future together.
